"Jesus doesn't merely clean us up, dust us off, and patch up a few dings here and there — He performs a total overhaul. His grace transformation of our lives is not cosmetic — it's cosmic!" ---James Ryle

"The association with God will leave in us the hallowing impact of place and people and seasons, but our hearts will hunger for his presence.  He is the source of all good, but he is better than all good.  There is no justification needed for our searching for him.  Although some do not know it, to be near God is the deepest desire of every human heart." ---Dennis Kinlaw in This Day With the Master

"After preaching, I rode on to Newcastle.  Certainly if I did not believe there was another world, I should spend all my summers here; as I know no place in Great Britain comparable to it for pleasantness.  But I seek another country, and therefore am content to be a wanderer upon earth." ---John Wesley, Monday, June 4, 1759

"It is impossible to do everything people want you to do.  You have just enough time to do God's will.  If you can't get it all done, it means you're trying to do more than God intended for you to do (or, possibly, that you're watching too much television)." ---Rick Warren in The Purpose Driven Life
