"When once you are rightly related to God by salvation and sanctification, remember that wherever you are, you are put there by God; and by the reaction of your life on the circumstances around you, you will fulfil God's purpose, as long as you keep in the light as God is in the light." ---Oswald Chambers

"Find something to laugh about no matter how tough things get.  Remind yourself it could always be worse.  Remember a time when it was and you got through it anyway.  Laugh at yourself.  When someone does something stupid, smile instead of getting angry.  Recall how many blunders you have made.  Think about how ridiculous it is to get bent out of shape over the silliest things.  A hundred years from now, who will care?  A little humor can ease the tension and restore your sanity."  Walter Albritton in Life is Short So Laugh Often, Live Fully and Love Deeply

"Your job as a leader is to make sure that the leaders of the next generation are even better than you are.  No one else can do this.  It must come from you.  There's no room for insecurity." ---Bart Sayle and Surinder Kumar in Riding the Blue Train

“Call them anything you want—courtesy, respect, politeness, kindness, consideration, etiquette, thoughtfulness, graciousness, etc.—our manners are who we are. We’ll always be known by the way we treat others.” ---Hal Urban in Life's Greatest Lessons: 20 Things That Matter

"An hour of Passionate Worship changes all the other hours of the week.  The regular practice of Passionate Worship gives people an interpretive lens through which to view the world, helping them see events, relationships, and issues through God's eyes.  Worship changes people and changes the way they experience their whole lives." ---Robert Schnase in Five Practices of Fruitful Congregations
