"The Master of the House may place you in a very small dark corner, and on a very humble stand, but some day, as He passes by, you shall light His footsteps as He goes forth to seek and save that which is lost. What is your stand?—your place in society, your position in the home, your situation in some business house, factory, or school—wherever it be, it doesn't matter, so long as your light is shining forth, steady and clear, warning and directing men and women in the path of life.” ---F. B. Meyer

"Let us explore together the secret of a deeper devotion, a more subterranean sanctuary of the soul, where the Light Within never fades, but burns, a perpetual Flame, where the wells of living water of divine revelation rise up continuously, day by day and hour by hour, steady and transfiguring." ---Thomas R. Kelly in A Testament of Devotion

"Desire is the seed from which all achievement grows.  More than any other characteristic, it determines whether we're going to be mediocre or successful in life.  Desire, not ability, separates average people from those who excel.  It's that something extra which makes it possible for ordinary people to accomplish extraordinary things." ---Hal Urban in Life's Greatest Lessons: 20 Things That Matter

"It is impossible that it simply started of its own accord, by an accident.  Just as implausible (as the argument goes) that a Swiss watch will come together if you toss a thousand parts in your clothes dryer and start it all banging round.  No, the earth has all the marks of an artist's hand." ---John Eldredge in Epic

"VIRTUE is not one thing; it is a cluster of many noble things. It is humility in victory . . . It is silence in suffering . . . It is generosity in wealth . . . .  Virtue is kindness in power . . . It is decisiveness in crisis . . . It is courage in battle . . . .  Virtue is grace in greatness. May you in all things at all times be known as a virtuous person." ---James Ryle
